Speakers! Modem! Network connection! These devices seem to all want the same resources at the same time. Accordingly, unless they are properly configured and hammered down, they will continue to plague you with headaches and grief. First, walk through your Windows 98SE Help, Troubleshooting Wizard. Go to Start>Help> . Click on the Contents Tab; at the bottom of the list is "Troubleshooting." Point & Click on that, and select the appropriate Troubleshooting Procedure. If that doesn't lead to a solution try...
